Who is Yi Sang?
Yi Sang is a character in Limbus Company whose personality and themes within the game are based on the Korean author of the same name and his best known work The Wings.
In the game, he is one of twelve Sinners, initially quiet when the player meets him and is later forced to face his past.
Yi Sang is a man who was deeply affected by the loss of the League of Nine Littérateurs many years ago. The League of Nine was a small group of tech enthusiasts and scientists that created inventions as a hobby in a district where doing so was illegal. After an internal betrayal, the League disbanded violently, and Yi Sang fell into apathy after the shock.
Yi Sang was taken in and abused by another member of the League after its dissolution. Kept in a blank, white room and sedated daily, Yi Sang was essentially used as just a tool for further research. He felt like he had no future, no purpose, nothing at all. All he had was the blank walls and a mirror version of himself to talk to sporadically for company. (Funnily enough, said mirror self suggested overdosing as an alternative to escaping abuse if Yi Sang could not bring him to do so.)
One day, Yi Sang brings himself to escape, he walks, is spotted—but not barred—and he never stops walking. He keeps running until he's approached on one rainy night by Faust and is recruited into Limbus Company.
After reliving his story with Dante and the Sinners in Canto IV, Yi Sang finally begins to heal old wounds. Yay ♡

"He's a png"
Indeed he is! Astute, you are!
Being in love with a character isn't far-fetched, I'd say. Everyone has felt it in some way or another. Also I enjoy being happy.
"Why him?"
To be perfectly honest, it may be in part because we're just very eerily similar.
Of course, aside from the immortality and formerly being part of an underground inventor's club. It's quite personal to me, so I might not go too into it, but he just means a lot to me. I've experienced a type of loss that parallels what he did, and I've responded to it the same way he did. Seeing him face the past and finally find it within him to heal and move on was something that just really hit a chord with me. I dunno. I'll be so honest rn man I cried when I finished Canto IV.
After losing the one place he found safety and community in he was kept in a blank white room and abused for who knows how long. He felt like he had nothing for him in life, like he had nothing he could do. He resigned himself to his cage despite its door being open. Even after garnering the strength to leave, he stayed isolated and suicidal—admitting in Canto IV that the worst day of his life was when he gained immortality. I just see a lot of myself in him. And seeing him heal and open up, even if he's still a little shaky, was something that really struck a chord for me.
He's also extremely gentle, but that's more of an attribute that he has that I don't lol
He's just very kind. He cares. He cares for the people around him a lot and it's abundantly clear that he becomes very strongly bonded with people. He's just quite cute.
Also he's kind of really pathetic sometimes it's funny.
Who am I?
I'm a 23 year old university student and
I started playing Limbus Company almost right at launch.
I just really quite like Yi Sang.
I'm also the Hohenheim guy. (It's complicated)
